Under Commissioner Turkin’s leadership, urban density was doubled on the Pierce project, bringing gridlock, crowded intersections, and overburdened infrastructure. Public records confirm that Turkin has taken more developer contributions than any other commissioner in city history. And when developers profit, neighborhoods pay the price.
Public Safety at Risk
Boynton Beach families deserve to feel safe in their neighborhoods. But Commissioner Turkin’s record tells a different story.

Political Extremism, Hidden in Plain Sight
Turkin’s signs might look familiar—that’s because they mirror Trump’s MAGA logo almost exactly. And yet, many voters we spoke to had no idea about his far-right ties. Through canvassing, we learned that most residents didn’t even request his signs.
The police union knocked on doors and asked residents if they could place the signs. Many homeowners agreed without knowing who Turkin was. Some weren’t even asked.
In the Chapel Hill neighborhood, Turkin has allowed MAGA supporters to wave Trump flags on the I-95 overpass, creating a nuisance for local families. These demonstrators use train horns and other devices to provoke car honking, disturbing the peace and making life miserable for residents and pets.
Immigration Hypocrisy
Turkin's own family benefited from U.S. asylum laws after fleeing economic hardship abroad. Yet, as a commissioner, he opposed Asian student exchange programs while pushing to expand Ukrainian participation. Boynton Beach’s strength comes from its diversity, but Turkin's record shows a pattern of picking winners and losers based on ethnicity.
The Choice Is CleaR
We can’t afford four more years of traffic jams, noisy protests, and backroom deals. Boynton Beach needs a leader who will put residents first. Vote Dom Vargas for Boynton Beach City Commission, District 3.
